Our iPhone App (NBI Clearance)

Our NBI Clearance app for iPhone lets existing clients track their application, upload documents and download their Acknowledgment Certificate.

Signing in. You sign in with your application reference number and the email address on your application. If you turn on “Remember on this device”, these two details are saved in your iPhone’s secure Keychain. They stay on that iPhone and are not synced to your other devices. You can remove them at any time with “Sign Out and Forget This Device”.

Documents and photos. The app uses your camera or photo library only when you choose to add a document. Documents you upload are sent over an encrypted connection to NBI Renewal Canada’s systems and attached to your application. The app does not save them to your photo library. Photos are converted before upload, which removes location and other embedded information.

Acknowledgment Certificate. When you view your certificate, the app downloads it temporarily so you can read, save or share it, and removes that temporary copy when you close it. Any copy you choose to save or share, for example to Files or by email, is kept wherever you saved or sent it.

What the app does not do. The app does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, does not access your location or contacts, and does not share your information with third parties for marketing. Information you provide through the app is used only to process your NBI clearance application, as described in the rest of this policy.

We use the information we collect to:

Process your NBI clearance application with the National Bureau of Investigation in Manila, Philippines
Communicate with you about your application status, next steps, and any issues that arise
Send payment instructions and confirm receipt of payment

Service Providers: We may use trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our website and conducting our business, provided they agree to keep your information confidential
