Where to Get Fingerprinted for NBI Clearance in Canada
NBI clearance requires ink and roll fingerprints on NBI Form No. 5 (also known as the “Blue Form”). This guide lists RCMP-accredited fingerprinting companies across Canada’s major cities.
Why Ink and Roll Fingerprints?
The Philippine National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) requires ink and roll fingerprints on NBI Form No. 5 (commonly called the “Blue Form”) for clearance applications from overseas. This is different from the electronic LiveScan fingerprinting used for most Canadian criminal record checks.
Important: When calling to book your appointment, ask specifically for “ink and roll fingerprinting on NBI Form No. 5” (the Blue Form). Not all fingerprinting companies offer this service — many only do electronic LiveScan.
What You Need to Bring
- Government-issued photo ID (passport, driver’s licence, or PR card)
- NBI Form No. 5 (the “Blue Form”) — we provide this form when you submit your NBI application
- Payment — fingerprinting fees vary by provider (typically $25–$75)

What is the difference between ink and roll and electronic fingerprinting?
Ink and roll uses traditional ink to capture your fingerprints on NBI Form No. 5 (the “Blue Form”). Your fingers are rolled in ink and pressed onto the card one at a time.
